New provider — FontMarket

For a long while, we've had the Google provider inside FontBase. With that, you could basically use any Google fonts in a single click on your computer, no hassle at all. That's cool, but what's even cooler? Right, even more fonts!

So today, we're happy to announce that we've partnered up with FontMarket by Creative Fabrica to bring you 2164 high quality fonts inside the new FontMarket provider. Now you can test and play around with all these fonts inside FontBase the same way you did with Google fonts.

If you want to use these fonts in your design projects, you will need to subscribe to the FontMarket provider. The subscription price is $20/month or $144/year. You can find the FontMarket provider inside your FontBase account on the updated Providers page. As long as the subscription is active, you will be able to activate FontMarket fonts in a single click inside FontBase on your computer. If the subscription is cancelled or ended, you'll still be able to view these fonts, but you won't be able to activate them.

With this new provider, we have also made some changes how providers work in general. Now the font lists for them are downloaded from our API periodically. This means we will no longer need to release a FontBase update in order to bring you some updated Google fonts. So yeah, good news everyone: Google fonts will stay much more up to date now!
