Been using FontBase for years and it's a great addition for someone that works in design and has to deal with thousands of fonts plus it has a google fonts integration thats really helpful when it comes to trying to find third party fonts
The Font base is the best font manager, its really easy to use. Im DTP operator and form my job font manager is really important.
We recently switched from Monotype Connect after their acquisition of Extensis, and wanted to jack up their prices even more. FontBase is brilliant alternative! Really simple to use and lightweight. Does everything we need it to do. So much better value than other font managers. Highly recommended.

I've been using Fontbase for many years now. It is super easy to use. I love the integration with my Adobe Creative Cloud apps, and the subscription fee is peanuts, especially compared to other font subscription services.

I’ve been using FontBase for many years now, and it remains an essential part of my daily workflow. When I first searched for a lightweight font manager suitable for freelancers, I didn’t want an oversized, expensive enterprise solution. I simply needed a clean, efficient way to manage my fonts without unnecessary clutter. FontBase matched that perfectly back then, and it still does today. A great tool with great value.
We use a vast number of fonts and recently switched from a competitor's product that was significantly more expensive. FontBase is much simpler, offers the same capabilities, and costs only a fraction of the price. We are more than happy.
ComoI really enjoy using FontBase—it has become an essential part of my workflow. The automatic font activation plugins are especially useful and save me a lot of time.
As a suggestion, I would love to see more advanced filters added to SuperSearch, such as filtering fonts by classification (serif, sans serif, display, handwritten, etc.) and by the number of styles available in each font family. This would make browsing and finding the right typeface even faster and more efficient.
I love FontBase! Have been using for about a decade now and so appreciate how simple and straightforward the interface is. I also love that it's a small company and with great pricing. Highly recommend!
It's been my main font manager for probably over four years. I don't know what I would do without it.
It has some bugs here and there in QOL features, but it gets the job bode wonderfully. Makes a lot of things easier, and the pricing is just right for me being in a third world economy.
Works well, I wish there we more options, like a history of activation/deactivation and wish it had some additional smarts like find similar font. It does work well and has just enough features to make it effective. I have like 30,000 fonts in my database, fontbase handles them like a champ.
Love the UI and ease of use. Its everything I want in a font management program!
I've used different professional fonts management systems over the years in book publishing/graphics design work. Discovered FontBase and decided to give it a try. It's been a good experience, consistent, reliable, and easily works as I need it to do.
I moved away from a similar tool because it kept deleting my fonts. Fontbase keeps everything where I put it, whether that be in a Collection or my Favorites. The interface is really easy to use, too!
Clean, easy to use, withoyt superfluous features, just a ready to use software that manage in a precise way the 4 things I truly need: typeface visualisation, folder organization, font activation and mac integration.

Font base is a great font manager for Mac.
My old Suitcase finally bit the dust and the move to FontBase was easy as I had exported the Suitcase Font Vault to be able to move the font folders into FontBase. The program is easy to use and instantly makes the fonts available when switched on. Plus the "watched folders" are a time saver in getting started each day. At first I missed being able to manage my Adobe fonts within FontBase like Suitcase, but I just now leave the Adobe Font website page on when I close the Chrome browser and on the next day's Chrome start-up it acts like the watched folders as the fonts are auto loaded immediately.
I used to rely on font managers like Suitcase and FontExplorer, but this great little tool does everything I need. I’m very happy with it, and the price is great too.
Great font program! Love how it can auto-activate fonts on Indesign and friends. Since we switched to Fontbase, our designers have had many fewer font issues than before with FontExpert.

Easy to use and works well.
It's fast and easy to use. It does the same job as font managers that cost five times more. The paid plan is worth it just for one feature: when you open a file in Photoshop or Illustrator, FontBase turns on the fonts you need automatically. No more hunting for missing fonts. I had a couple of small problems, but support replied quickly and fixed them. Best value you'll find.

As a career graphic designer, I've used many font managers over the years. FontBase is by far the best. So seamless and easy. I love the ability to turn fonts on and off easily, and especially to make custom categories for my typefaces (with a library of over 50,000 fonts, that's important to me!). I also love that FontBase is a grassroots effort, and not the product of billionaires. They're passionate about typography and it shows. I have a POD Etsy shop, and I literally use FontBase almost everyday in my designs. It's such an easy and user-friendly tool with access to all my fonts including all the glyphs and specialty characters (which are not available in Canva). FontBase is definitely one of my must-have tools!
I've got too many fonts. This app makes the management of those fonts much easier to cope with, while preventing P.C. start-up lag due to font loading.

An excellent cost effective way of managing your fonts - rather than dumping everything in your Windows fonts folder! Had it for years and use it daily.
While it looks better than some, there are lots of fonts it can't display at all and after 3 years of paying for the "pro" version I've lost faith that the various problems are ever going to be fixed. The most recent payment is the last I'll give when there are others I could own outright for much less.
Best font manager out there. Found it after giving up on Suitcase (remember?). Free version is fine, but Pro is a bargain and well-worth it. Totally support it and you should, too!

For a long time, I've been looking for a font platform that's simple, effective, and affordable. I've NEVER found anything truly worthwhile, but one day I found the Fontbase website.
The first thing I noticed was that it was very intuitive, making it easy to use. At the same time, it allows you to organize your fonts in different ways, leaving room for many font categorization options while keeping everything organized and functional.

FontBase helped me sort out thousands of my fonts. In conjunction with Synology Drive it allows me to keep a shared and synced Fonts folder across all my work machines and keep them tidy and up-to-date.
FontBase makes it possible for me to quickly see a large range of fonts, while not slowing my system down by having everything installed at once.
Its simple and inexpensive. What I found with big font manager programmes is that it made indesign laggy. Not so with fontbase, slick and easy to use.
To be honest I forget it is there, it just gets on with it.

The free version is very good, but it's worth paying for automatic font activation and to support the developer. They respond very quickly to emails with any questions.

This is incredibly great value for money. There might be other Font Managers out there with slightly more fancy features - but for this price? No. I used Extensis which became Monotype for over a decade and it became more difficult to use, more clunky and then cost me over $1000 per year. FontBase does all the things you need it to do - has regular updates - and costs less than a meal out PER YEAR. You then, for the cost of a meal at Macca's per month - can get access to thousands more fonts. It is insane how good it is for the price.
Simply the best font managment tool on the market and by simple I'm implying it is a simple, easy-to-use, yet powerful application for any level of user. Beginners can easily manage their typefaces while power users will find it to be an elegant and stress free experience.
I've Used it for years, and I won't use anything else on the 30+ Macs/users I manage.
I really like FontBase because it is more stable than other font managers. It is very easy to manage fonts, and the simple interface is wonderful for my daily work.
I also appreciate that I can use it on any OS without any issues. The auto-activation feature is great, and I hope this auto-activation will be supported in more software in the future.
