  • Add the ability to view system fonts

    Fonts may be installed locally using the default system method. Currently Fontbase does not display these fonts, because it has not reliable wayt to manage them. We are considering adding the ability to view them without the ability to activate/deactivate.

  • Identify font by image

    Upload any photo of any font and get instant results with the font name or suggestions for a similar font if the correct one was not found.

  • Affinity support

    Support font auto-activation in Affinity graphic editors.

  • Search by font metadata

    Search fonts by font additional parameters: like author, release date, website, publisher, license, etc. props from font table data.

  • Team font library

    Add the ability for teams to upload a limited amount (100-500) of fonts to the cloud so they can be synced across team members.

  • Ability to pin more than one font

    Currently it is only possible yo pin one font. It would be great to have multiple (up to 3) pinned fonts at the same time and be able to compare them.

  • Add ability to clear font cache

    Other font managers provide the ability to clear font cache. Maybe we should add this ability to FontBase as well.

  • Search fonts by similar parameters

    Every font has weight, xheight, contrast and proportion values that are used for Super Search. We plan to add the ability to search fonts with similar characteristics by clicking on a button on the font Family page or inside the font menu.

  • View team member active fonts

    View what fonts are active for each team member inside the Team tab in your FontBase account.

  • 3D font scatter search

    View all of your fonts in a 3D space with the axes representing proportion, weight and contrast with the ability to navigate through space. Really similar to IDEO font map that is not available anymore.

  • Add ability to hide sidebar

    The sidebar take up a lot of windows pace, it would be nice to have the ability to optionally hide it and free up space.

  • Cloud collection sync

    Syncing collections via cloud drive like Dropbox is unreliable and can lead to lost data. A better option would be to sync and store them through our servers.

  • Collection printing

    Add the ability to export all fonts from a collection into a printable PDF document.

  • Option to keep fonts active on app close

    Currently all fonts are deactivated when FontBase is closed. It would be great to have an option to keep the fonts active.

  • Ability to resize Family view

    Add a new view where the font family details are visible at the same time as the font list.

  • Group font families manually

    Add the ability to override the default selected font family, to be able to group fonts manually.
