FontBase for teams — now with team members
Manage multiple emails under one Awesome account: add or remove team members at any point, set passwords and manage emails.
Starting today, it is now possible to add team members to your FontBase account! For a long while FontBase provided no tools for proper team management, but we decided to change that. We've got lots of requests to add the ability to add and remove other people under one account, set passwords and manage emails.
Previously, there was only one email address per team, even with multiple seats. That introduced some weird issues, like all the team members having to share and use the same login and password. Or that everyone could access and view billing info and invoices.
Well, not anymore. Now you can navigate to your FontBase account at web.fontba.se and use the Team tab to manage all that. There you can add new team members, by entering their name, email and password. Or you can remove members that left the team, if you wish. You can also add more seats to your team by purchasing additional Awesome subscriptions in the Subscription tab. The number of available team members corresponds to the number of your subscriptions (or seats).
There are also a few restrictions that apply to team members:
- Team members can not login on the web, they can only login inside the FontBase desktop app;
- Team members have no access to billing or the owner main account;
- The team owner can not change a team member's password — it can be only set once at creation, or reset by the team member;
- One seat is always reserved for the team owner, so you'll need at least two Awesome subscriptions/seats to be able to add team members.
